Description Of The Frigidaire Professional Coffee Maker

Most of us remember how you had to painstakingly measure out coffee grounds to ensure that you got your coffee just right.

Putting in too little coffee grounds or if you didn’t grind enough coffee beans, then the brew was too weak. But if you put too many grounds into the coffee, it would be almost impossible to drink.

Now, thanks to the Frigidaire Professional 12-Cup Drip Coffeemaker, all that guesswork is extinct. If you like your coffee stronger, then you put in your preference with the Coffee Strength Selector feature. Just like that it will produce your definition of good coffee.

The Frigidaire Professional Coffeemaker goes the extra mile with a feature that makes sure your water is the right temperature for a perfect brew. The Powerplus system will help you get some really great tasting coffee. This temperature-based feature makes sure that hot water flows evenly throughout your grounds, providing a more flavorful coffee.

The coffee maker isn’t as tall as some machines, so this one slides easily beneath a low hanging cabinet. Its size is as much a plus as the stainless steel design. If you have a modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances, this will fit right in.

The clock features are well lit with a blue back light. If you forget to set the machine for automatic fill and remember after you’re already in bed, you won’t have to turn on all the lights in the kitchen to program it.

This machine allows users to preset the appliance to make and have a pot of coffee ready and waiting for the morning wake up. A big help in our busy daily life! The Frigidaire Professional Coffee Maker has this feature in common with the Cuisinart DCC-1200 Brew Central.

Most users compliment on the size and style of the carafe. This sturdy glass comes with a handle matching the outside of the coffee maker’s stainless steel. It can hold up to 12 cups of coffee. A perfect size for an all day coffee drinker or for those times when you have family in town.

A bonus for this machine is that it has an easy-to-view reservoir, which prevents spillage from filling it up too much.

Another feature that sets this machine apart is that it lets users know when the auto shut off is counting down. You’ll also be able to tell what kind of coffee strength you selected for the brew.

How To Make Your Coffee With The Frigidaire Professional Coffee Maker

For your first brew with the Frigidaire Professional Coffee Maker you should thoroughly clean the Filter Basket, the Permanent Gold-Tone Filter, the Water Filter Holder, and the carafe in hot soapy water. That way no left over residue from the manifacturing process will affect the tast of your coffee.

Once you’re ready to make your first brew, you lift the reservoir lid on top of the coffee maker, and pour the desired amount of water into the reservoir.

With the Filter Basket in place, insert the Permanent Gold-Tone Filter, OR a #4 paper cone filter into the Filter Basket. Not both!

Now you add the ground coffee into the filter. You should start out using one tablespoon of ground coffee for every cup of water in the reservoir. You may adjust the amount of coffee to water ratio to suit your personal taste.

Start the brewing process by pressing the On-Off button once. Prior to starting the brewing process, you may want to adjust the strength setting by pressing the Coffee Strength button on the control panel. You have two options: Regular or Strong.

When the brewing cycle is finished, you will hear three short beeping sounds.

With the Frigidaire, the filter basket is a permanent one, so you don’t have to continually invest in new filter cups. It’s an easy-to-clean, gold tipped basket in the shape of a cone, and it helps you keep your coffee maker clean so that the brews taste fantastic on a daily basis.

If you’ve done any comparison shopping with coffee makers, then you’ll know that just like the Cuisinart DCC-1200 Brew Central, the Frigidaire has a water filter system to improve the taste of your coffee. Both machines have top of the line charcoal filtering systems that can make tap water taste like the best water available.

Just like the Cuisinart DCC-1200 you can use regular tap water to brew your coffee, without having to worry about the taste. It comes with a charcoal water filter that will improve the taste of your coffee!

Brewing Time Of The Frigidaire Professional Coffee Maker

To brew ten cups it takes about 8-9 minutes at regular brew strength. After the brewing is finished, the coffee maker will keep your coffee warm for up to 2 hours.

The controls for this coffee maker can be found above the carafe. A great way to make sure no coffee can be spilled on the controls. The LCD panel provides easy access to your personal settings. The panel also displays the current time.

Frigidaire Professional Coffee Maker Cleaning And Maintenance

One thing I like is that I don’t have to remember when it’s time to clean the coffee maker. The Frigidaire Professional 12-Cup Drip Coffeemaker will clue you in on when it’s time to clean the machine and when it’s time for a charcoal filter change. This feature is also comparable to the feature with the Cuisinart DCC-1200.

It takes about a total of 50 minutes for the entire cleaning process to be complete. You’ll run a mix of vinegar and water through the system and then rinse it before using it to brew more great-tasting coffee.

User Tips

While I went through all the information available on the Frigidaire Professional Coffee Maker, I collected a few tips users shared. I hope this will help you brew the perfect cup of coffee when you purchase the Frigidaire Professional 12-Cup Drip Coffeemaker:

  • You have to fill the water from the side. There are holes in the back to prevent overfilling. If you fill it at the wrong angle, the water splashes up and out through the holes. When filled directly from the side, and fairly slowly, you can prevent water leakage.
